I have advised on equity release for 12 years now and put simply, I love this industry. It really is the bees knees for me as I love to meet with people face-t0-face and work out exactly what would make their life a little easier. Providing equity release advice comes naturally to me because you know pretty early on whether equity release is right for someone. I love nothing more than receiving a postcard from a happy customer who has gone off on a holiday they never thought was possible.

June 22nd, 2010My name is Mary M and I took out equity release not so long ago in 2006. I can honestly say that I love it. It took me almost 2 months to come to the decision and that decision involved all of my family and some of my closest friends. We went through the negatives (of which there definitely are some of note), we went through the positives and we also put these ads and disadvantages alongside my own personal circumstances. I needed the money just to help me out really – a reserve in case times got harder than they were. Sure I have spent a little of the money on pampering myself and my lovely daughter – but the rest is just sat there in a pool, not gaining any interest but also there should i need it – a safety net so to speak.
It really is a weight off my mind and I benefited from advice more than anything. Responsible Equity Release, a site called 365 and another called the Equity Centre were a good start on my journey and then I visited my local IFA who I know very well- the local IFA advised me on the process and I went ahead. As that meerkat says…Simples!
